South Korea star keen on move to La Liga

Celtic star Ki Sung-yueng admits he has fulfilled all his ambitions in Scotland and would be tempted by a move to La Liga - but only if he is guaranteed first-team football. The 23-year-old, who moved to Parkhead from his native Seoul in 2009, has been repeatedly linked with a move away from the SPL champions this summer. German duo Bayer Leverkusen and Werder Bremen were linked with a swoop for the midfielder, while Russian side Rubin Kazan have already had a £6million bid rejected. Ki's form for the Hoops is also believed to have attracted the interest of clubs in the Premier League. The South Korea international has previously played down speculation of a summer move, insisting that we was not thinking about a potential transfer.

Change of heart

However, he now appears to have had a change of heart, stating his life-long desire to play in La Liga - but only to a club where he will play on a regular basis. "Ever since I was a kid I have dreamed of playing in the Spanish league," he said in the Daily Record. "I would only move from Celtic if I am guaranteed playing time but if and when the offer comes I hope it is from Spain. "All footballers want to play at the highest level and my ambition is to play in La Liga. "We won the SPL this year and that fulfilled my hopes in Scotland. "Now I have to wait to see if I am transferred."
