Liam Henderson's second-half strike gave Hibernian their third straight Scottish Championship victory as they claimed a 1-0 away win at Livingston.

Celtic loanee Henderson was on target in the 3-0 victory over Alloa last weekend and he scored again seven days on as Hibs recorded their fourth straight clean sheet in all competitions.

Hibernian beat bottom side Livingston to move up to third in the Scottish Championship.

Henderson was involved early on when Dominique Malonga struck a post while, at the other end, Paul Hanlon blocked Liam Buchanan's effort on the line after Mark Oxley had made a decent save.

Hibs went ahead just five minutes into the second period thanks to Henderson, who picked out the top corner from a free-kick.

Alan Stubbs' side held firm at the end to move them up to third in the table, nine points behind Rangers with a game in hand.

Rangers extended their winning start to seven matches with a hard-fought 2-1 victory at Dumbarton.

A long-distance strike and a penalty from Martyn Waghorn secured maximum points for the Gers, although Garry Fleming pulled a goal back late on from the penalty spot after Gregor Buchanan was sent off for pulling down Kenny Miller to give away the spot-kick.

Morton extended their unbeaten run to five games as they were held to a 2-2 draw at Queen of the South.

The visitors took the lead after just six minutes when Stefan McCluskey put pressure on Chris Higgins and the defender over-hit his back-pass past Robbie Thomson and into the back of the net.

Queens drew level on the stroke of half-time as Gary Oliver saw his shot blocked but the ball fell to Derek Lyle, who smashed home the equaliser.

The visitors retook the lead 20 minutes into the second half when Denny Johnston latched on to a great ball from McCluskey to tap home from close range.

But Queen of the South secured a point to bring their three-game losing run to an end nine minutes from time when Luca Gasparotto headed into his own net, although McCluskey nearly won it at the death when he hit the post.

Alloa snatched a 1-1 draw with Falkirk at the Indodrill Stadium despite playing the final quarter with 10 men.

Jason Marr saw red in the 68th minute after fouling Lee Miller in the penalty area with John Baird finding the top right-hand corner from the penalty spot to put the visitors ahead.

However, Colin Hamilton struck in the 90th minute with a left-footed shot from outside the box to give Athletic only their fourth point of the season and deny second-placed Falkirk a crucial two points as they lost ground on Rangers.
