Ronny Deila says he's very happy following Celtic's 2-1 win away to Hearts in the quarter-final of the Scottish League Cup

Leigh Griffiths had the final say in Celtic's 2-1 win at Hearts after enduring taunts from the Tynecastle stands.

The former Hibernian striker scored one and set up another to book Celtic's place in the last four of the Scottish League Cup.

His stunning solo goal was followed by the striker excessively celebrating in front of the Hearts fans, picking up a booking in the process.

"The yellow was a bit harsh, but if you give me a goal like that and a yellow card then I'll take it all day long," Griffiths said.

"I get abuse everywhere I go - here you always get stick as an ex-Hibee but the only way to shut them up is to score."

Griffiths' moment of magic lit up the cup tie, dancing his way through before opening his body to score past Neil Alexander.

The striker then set up the second for Tom Rogic, with the Australian finishing with a clever back-heel.

The win did come at a cost for Celtic, captain Scott Brown (knee) and Gary Mackay-Steven (groin) were both injured in the pre-match warm-up.

"Gary will be ready very quickly but with Scott we will have to scan it tomorrow and then we can say what it is," said manager Ronny Deila. "I don't think it is serious. I hope it isn't. But, again, it is a knee and we have to wait for the scan."

Arnaud Djoum headed a late consolation effort for Hearts, but it was not enough to preserve their five-game unbeaten run.

"We didn't look like we were going to concede for long periods of the game," said head coach Robbie Neilson. "Our quality could have been better on the counter attack when we broke, we had opportunities to do it.

"But we have come a long way in 18 months, the club has been in administration, got promotion to the top league and we are sitting here getting frustrated after a 2-1 defeat to Celtic when they were holding on at the end, desperate to get the win."
