French full-back returns to Lens

Franck Queudrue has returned to France and signed for Lens, after shunning interest from Celtic. The 32-year-old left-back was a free agent after leaving Birmingham City in the summer. He trained with Peterborough United, but opted instead for a move to Greece with Panionios. However, he pulled out of that move for family reasons and has been without a club until now. He has now opted to sign a one-year deal with Lens - the club where he started his career - and also claims that he shunned a move to SPL giants Celtic. "I am so happy to be back," the former Middlesbrough star told the club's official website. "I had others propositions notably from Celtic, which was very keen to sign me. "But I didn't hesitate half a second to accept the proposition from chairman Gervais Martel."
