James Forrest insists it is too early to be thinking of a possible loan move away from Celtic after slipping down Neil Lennon's pecking order.
The youngster has found starts few and far between of late following Kris Commons' arrival while fit-again Shaun Maloney and Paddy McCourt are two more options for the Parkhead boss.
Forrest has been happy with his action off the bench since returning from an ankle injury in December and he will continue working hard to win a starting berth.
The 19-year-old is concentrating on giving his best as Celtic look to pip Rangers to the SPL title while they also have a Scottish Cup semi-final with Aberdeen on the horizon and he insists talk of leaving on loan is premature.
No concern
"It doesn't concern me that we have a lot of left-sided players as the team have been doing well and that's the most important thing," he told the
Daily Record.
"I have been doing well in training and I can't really do any more than that. It's all about doing my best and hopefully that will be enough to get in.
"With the exception of the cup final I have been getting a run-out from the bench in every game since I returned from injury.
"What I am wanting now is to get a start and then I will try to stay in the team.
"Any talk of going out on loan is too far away as I'm only concentrating on what happens between now and the end of the season.
"We have 10 games left and we want to win every one of them both in the league and the Scottish Cup.
"The manager knows we have been on a great run and it's difficult to change a winning team.
"But I know if I continue to do well in training then I'll get my chance - and I know I'll definitely take it when it arrives.
"During the spell I was injured I spent time in the gym and I feel fitter now than ever."
