Smith invites Norwegian youngster to Murray Park

SPL champions Rangers have taken 18-year-old Norwegian defender Krister Wemberg on trial. The teenager, who plays for Norwegian second division side FK Moss, will spend a week at Murray Park in a bid to impress the club's management. The Norway Under-19 international has already had trials with Premier League duo Everton and Fulham and will now train under the watchful gaze of manager Walter Smith. Wemberg is looking forward to spending the week in Scotland and has made no secret of his desire to play abroad. "I will play games for the reserves and train every day with the first team during a week-long stay in Scotland," he told Moss' official website. "My dream is to play abroad, I've never hid that."
