Kenny McDowall insists Rangers are working tirelessly behind the scenes on new signings.
Lack of fresh signings is not a worry
Rangers first-team coach Kenny McDowall insists the SPL champions are working tirelessly behind the scenes on new signings.
The club has seen a high turnover of players since the season finished with six first-team members departing Ibrox for pastures new.
Kris Boyd, Kevin Thomson, Danny Wilson, Nacho Novo, DaMarcus Beasley and Stevie Smith have all left and no one has joined.
Gers agreed a fee with Burnley for Chris Eagles, before the deal collapsed, and it has now been almost two years since the club last made a permanent transfer.
McDowall sympathises with the club's fans but is refusing to press the panic button, stating there is still plenty of time to land fresh faces.
Working hard
"We're trying hard to get new faces in," the coach told the club's
official website. "Hopefully that will happen shortly.
"I understand why people want new players to come in now but we've still got five weeks of the transfer window to go.
"That's quite a length of time and as the end of that period closes in, things generally start to get a bit busier.
"I'm not saying we're going to wait until the fifth week to start signing people because I know the manager is constantly working hard on getting new players."
