Defender says Rangers players will back six-point plan
Rangers defender Kyle Bartley says the players are happy to go along with the six-point plan announced after the recent Old Firm clash with Celtic.
Both clubs issued a six-point recommendation - outlining a new "re-enforced code of conduct for players and officials" - following a combustible Scottish Cup derby at Parkhead on 2nd March.
Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond hosted a meeting of police, Government and football officials on Tuesday to tackle problems both on and off the field.
On-loan Arsenal defender Bartley said the players would play their part, telling
Sky Sports News: "I think they had a meeting yesterday and whatever the six-point plan is that they thought about, we would be happy to go along with that."
Asked if the situation had been blown out of proportion or if something needed to be done, the 19-year-old replied: "Well I think I'm a bit of an outsider coming into it - obviously I've only had two Old Firm games - so I'm not sure what it is all about.
"But I think it has been blown a little bit out of proportion, hopefully we can get back to the football now."
Next up for Rangers is their last-16 Europa League first leg tie with PSV Eindhoven on Thursday and Bartley is up for the challenge if he is selected to play.

"It's been fantastic so far (playing for Rangers) - I'm not sure if I'm playing yet or not but hopefully I will be and hopefully we will get a good result."
But Bartley knows it will be tough against PSV, saying: "I know they are a good team - obviously I know they are technically very good and I know they are top of the league so it will be a tough game."
The teenager has been playing left side of a three-man defence recently and said he was happy to help the team in whatever position he was picked.
"It's not my natural position but I said when I came here I spoke to the manager and I said I'd be happy to play wherever he wants to play me so as part of a three-man defence, two-man or in a different position that is fine with me."
Bartley's parent club Arsenal crashed out of the UEFA Champions League to Barcelona at the Camp Nou on Tuesday and the defender believed the sending-off of Robin van Persie changed the game.
He said: "It was a fantastic match and obviously it was hampered a little bit by the sending off to Robin van Persie and I think they were doing very well - at 1-1 everything was to play for."
