Gunners starlet hoping to be back at Ibrox next season

Kyle Bartley has revealed that he would welcome the opportunity to return to Rangers for a second loan spell. The Arsenal starlet linked up with the Gers in January, having spent the first half of the 2010/11 campaign with Sheffield United. He saw his time at Ibrox ended prematurely by a knee injury suffered in a Europa League clash with PSV Eindhoven in March, but the youngster thoroughly enjoyed his time in Glasgow. The 19-year-old was back in Scotland on Sunday to join in with Rangers' SPL title celebrations and hopes that will not be his last involvement with the Gers camp.

Invaluable

Outgoing Gers boss Walter Smith, who is set to hand the reins to Ally McCoist this summer, has already made contact with Arsenal regarding a possible deal for 2011/12 and Bartley hopes those talks will produce a positive outcome. He told Rangers' official website: "There are talks going on with Arsenal as we speak so we'll have to wait and see but if I'm told I can come back that would be fantastic. "The experience this year was invaluable and I really enjoyed my time so if I could some back next season that would be fantastic. "All the boys get on really well and they're all great lads and now they can celebrate this success together."
