Rangers boss looking to improve attacking options
Ally McCoist is confident Sweden Under 21 international Joe Sise has the ability to impress as the Rangers boss looks to improve his striking options.
Sise is out of contract at Halmstad and is due to spend a week training with Rangers in the hope of earning a move to Ibrox.
McCoist is keen to assess the forward's ability as he feels the SPL champions are currently lacking strength in depth up front.
"He has agreed to come over and do a bit of training with us so we will have a look at him this week," McCoist told the club's
official website.
Learning exercise
"It's a learning exercise. He can have a look at Murray Park and we can have a look at him and hopefully he will enjoy it.
"We have watched him a few times and we have seen videos of him and we feel he is someone who can come in and impress.
"He has scored one or two goals in a team that has been relegated so that is an impressive aspect.
"I think up front is probably one area we would like to strengthen. We feel we are strong in other areas and I just feel we can be caught short up front.
"Nikica [Jelavic] had a bit of sickness before the Hearts game and actually Kyle Lafferty had a bit of a spasm in his back so we were a bit lucky that both of them were available.
"It could have been the case that we had neither of them and then we would have had a bit of a problem. So if we could strengthen that area then I would be happy to do so."
