Swedish striker fails to earn full-time contract at Ibrox

Swedish hopeful Joe Sise has failed to earn a permanent stay at Scottish Premier League giants Rangers. The striker had been looking to earn a deal at Ibrox after finding himself out of contract at Hamlstad and he is available as a free agent. Rangers were happy to take a look at him, with Ally McCoist reluctant to close any transfer doors, but the Glasgow-based outfit have decided against putting terms to Sise. A statement released on the club's official website read: "Rangers have ended their interest in Swedish U21 striker Joe Sise and the player has now left Scotland.

Decent

"Sise had been on a training and match trial with the Light Blues after some favourable reports on his performances in the Swedish league. "The giant striker trained with the top team at Murray Park and then featured in a closed door game on Tuesday. "Sise did reasonably well and showed some decent touches, but manager Ally McCoist has decided that he will not progress the matter." Reports suggest Hansa Rostock are also keen on Sise, with it expected that the 21-year-old will now try his luck in Germany.
