Scotland international Allan McGregor, who is among those to have parted company with Rangers this summer, has signed for Turkish side Besiktas. The 30-year-old has penned a two-year contract after successfully passing a medical. Besiktas have confirmed that an agreement has been reached, while McGregor has expressed his excitement at taking on a new challenge away from his homeland. The club announced on their official website: "According to a club statement issued by Besiktas Football Ventures, former Glasgow Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor has agreed to a two-year deal with the Eagles."

Noise

Speaking in an interview with BJK TV, McGregor said: "It's a big club, with a big tradition. "Supposedly, they have great fans and a lot of noise in the stadium so I'm very excited. "Every time I play, I don't like losing, which is a good thing to have. "I'll just give my all for the team and hopefully I can do my best." McGregor had been on the lookout for a new club after refusing to transfer his contract to the newco at Rangers.
