Scottish FA Cup Round-Up

Inverness Caledonian Thistle produced the shock of the Scottish FA Cup fifth round on Saturday by dumping out top-flight Motherwell, while Dunfermline also booked their passage through.

Inverness triumphed 1-0 at Fir Park after taking an early lead which they never relinquished following a determined rearguard display.

Barry Wilson was the hero for Caley, popping up in the tenth minute with what proved to be the crucial goal.

Dunfermline cruised through with a comfortable 3-0 win at SPL rivals Partick Thistle.

Defender Richie Byrne got the ball rolling for The Pars on 11 minutes, and when skipper Barry Nicholson added a second ten minutes before the break the result was never in doubt.

Veteran striker Craig Brewster (pictured) put a gloss on the scoreline 20 minutes from time as the visitors completed a comprehensive victory.

Aberdeen and Livingston will have to try again after matters ended all-square at Pittodrie.

Livingston hit the front on 51 minutes when Dons defender Russell Anderson put through his own net, but Scott Muirhead replied six minutes later to ensure a replay.
