Barry Robson has recovered from injury and is available for Aberdeen’s Scottish Premiership clash against Kilmarnock on Saturday.

The 36-year-old midfielder hurt his hip six weeks ago but could return at Pittodrie for Derek McInnes's side.

However, Cammy Smith is doubtful with a calf strain, while Willo Flood, Nicky Low, Clark Robertson, Russell Anderson and Craig Storie all remain out of action.

Kilmarnock boss Allan Johnston has confirmed midfielder Sammy Clingan will be out for as long as five weeks - starting with Saturday's trip to Pittodrie.

The Northern Ireland international injured his hamstring against St Johnstone last weekend but will now sit out the rest of the year's action.

Striker Michael Ngoo remains unavailable after ankle surgery while Johnston admits he still has concerns over "two or three" unnamed players.

Kilmarnock have failed to win their last seven matches in all competitions and Johnston said: "We've not got a striker who will score 20-odd goals a season like Boydy, so it will take goals from all over the park to get us out of this rut.

"Confidence always dips when you start losing a few games and you can see that in our play now but the last few weeks have been much more encouraging. We created a number of chances against St Johnstone but we just need to make sure we are more clinical."
