Hearts have endured a hectic day at Tynecastle with fans queuing round the block to buy Scottish Cup tickets.

The Jambos are involved in the top tie of the fifth-round when they host Edinburgh rivals Hibernian on February 6.

And the Gorgie club, who beat Aberdeen at home in the fourth-round of the Scottish Cup, have advised supporters to phone the ticket centre in order to obtain briefs for the big match.

A statement from Hearts read: "Supporters looking to purchase Scottish Cup tickets are advised not to come down to Tynecastle's Ticket Centre after 4pm today.

"Following a hectic day of service, queues - which had doubled around the car park - are down to around a one-hour wait.

"With the Ticket Centre due to close at 5pm, it is therefore recommended that no one attempt to join the queue after 4pm in order to keep it at a manageable level for the remainder of the day.

Phone lines will be open until 7pm tonight, with online purchases available 24-hours a day through Hearts eTickets."
