Paatelainen would be delighted if midfielder bags 'big move'

Kilmarnock boss Mixu Paatelainen would not hold a grudge against Alexei Eremenko if he snubs Rugby Park for a 'big move'. The attacking midfielder is on loan with the SPL club from Metalist Kharkiv, but he can terminate the agreement in the winter transfer window. Metalist are thought to be asking £1million for Eremenko on a permanent basis, which could be out of range for Kilmarnock. The Russian outfit's president, Oleksandr Yaroslavsky, has claimed that three English Premier League clubs have shown interest, while Celtic, who Kilmarnock face on Tuesday night, have also been linked with the 27-year-old. Paatelainen would not blame Eremenko if he wanted to further his career, saying in the Daily Record: "If another Scottish side came in for Alexei and his parent club wanted to get their money back we'd just have to say good luck to him and the people who pay his wages while thanking him for everything he's done for us. "If he gets a big move, I'll be delighted. He came to Killie to get his career back on track and he's done a fantastic job."
