Strachan moves for United winger
Dundee United have confirmed they are in talks with Middlesbrough about a deal for Craig Conway.
Boro boss Gordon Strachan has targeted a move for the former Ayr man as he looks to continue his Scottish influx to the Riverside.
United are reluctant to sell the winger and are thought to be holding out for a £1million fee for the 25-year-old.
Terrors boss Peter Houston has confirmed talks are ongoing between both clubs about Conway.
"Middlesbrough have been in touch about Craig," Houston told the
Daily Record. "The two clubs are talking."
Staying
Meanwhile, Strachan insists he is happy to keep hold of midfielder Gary O'Neil.
O'Neil has been linked with a move away from Boro, with Stoke and Blackburn rumoured to be chasing his signature.
However, Strachan says O'Neil will only be sold for the right offer and that he is happy to keep the former Portsmouth man.
"Gary is more than happy here," said Strachan. "He wants to see out his contract.
"At the end of the day, players decide whether they want to stay or go, but unless we get a huge offer that we have to look at then Gary will be staying."
