SPFL: Mark Wilson to leave Dundee United

Mark Wilson is leaving Dundee United this month after the remainder of his contract was terminated by mutual consent.

The 30-year-old full-back has made 126 appearances for United in two separate spells; having begun his career at Tannadice in 2000, he moved to Celtic in a £500,000 deal in 2006 before returning to Tayside two years ago.

Wilson, whose contract was due to expire in the summer, was fined by United in October in relation to a disciplinary inquiry. He was present when Celtic goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska - a former Dundee United player - suffered an alleged assault during a night out in Glasgow.

Meanwhile, former Dundee United centre-half Garry Kenneth has agreed a move to Australian side Adamstown Rosebud.

The 27-year-old will be hoping to revive a career which stalled after he picked up a knee injury while playing for Bristol Rovers two years ago.
