Inverness Caledoinian Thistle have suspended forward Dani Lopez until further notice following his dismissal during a development game.
Lopez was sent off during Tuesday's match against St Johnstone U20s for an off-the-ball incident having scored the only goal of the game in the first half.
The Spaniard joined Inverness on a one-year deal in July and has scored once in nine first-team appearances.
A club statement read: "Following an incident during an Under 20's game versus St Johnstone at the stadium we can confirm that player, Dani Lopez, who was dismissed from the field of play, has been suspended by the club until further notice pending a full investigation.
"The club will be making no further comment until this investigation is concluded."
The striker joined Stevenage in 2012 before having loan spells at Aldershot Town and Barnet. He was with La Roda in the Spanish third division last season.
