Defender pens one-year deal at Staggies
Ross County have confirmed the signing of veteran defender Ross Tokely after he quit Highland rivals Inverness.
The 33-year-old defender joins the newly-promoted Scottish Premier League side on a one-year deal after 16 years at the Caledonian Stadium.
Tokely holds the distinction of having played and scored in every division of Scottish league football and made over 500 first-team appearances for Caley Thistle before making the switch to Dingwall.
And County boss Derek Adams believes Tokely's experience will be important as the Staggies prepare for their first season in the top flight.
He said: "At 6ft 2in, Ross is a commanding presence both in matches and on the training pitch.
"He has a wealth of experience at this level and, whilst a lot of our players have already played in the SPL, having someone like Ross, who played the majority of last season and knows the league and the teams so well, is a valuable addition to the group."
