Russell Griffiths has joined Motherwell on a one-year deal after he was released by Everton.
The 21-year-old goalkeeper spent four months of last season on loan at the Scottish Premiership club, and has now accepted a permanent contract at Fir Park.
During his time in Scotland he made four appearances for Motherwell, whose manager Stephen Robinson told the club's website: "Russell showed a tremendous attitude towards the tail end of last season and put in some terrific performances for us during an important run of games.
"We're delighted to have secured Russell's signature and to have that competition for the number one jersey is crucial."
Griffiths had been on Everton's books since joining as a youth-team player three years ago, although he never made a first-team appearance for the club.
Griffiths, who had five months on loan at Cheltenham during the 2016/17 season, added: "I'm looking forward to a good pre-season and I'm glad that I've finalised everything.
"I'm looking forward to kicking on and trying to seal the number one spot this season."
