Striker pens two-year Buddies deal

St Mirren manager Danny Lennon has made his third signing as the club's new manager after snapping up Paul McQuade. Lennon has already raided former club Cowdenbeath for Darren McGregor and has now landed McQuade. The 23-year-old striker, who began his career with Dunfermline before playing for Raith, has signed a two-year contract. Lennon believes McQuade possesses great potential and is looking forward to seeing him develop in full-time football.

Pace

"Paul is a player with very good pace who has an eye for goal," Lennon told the club's official website. "He was on Craig Levein's radar while he was manager at Dundee United and I can see Paul as being a player who will develop through being involved in full-time football. "Paul can play through the middle, play the one deeper and play in the wider areas, so he is a very versatile player."
