Players and staff not paid in full for February
Dunfermline's players and staff have not been paid their full wages for February, the Scottish Premier League club have confirmed.
The Pars are suffering with financial problems, made worse by the fact they have not yet received the £85,000 owed to them by cash-strapped Rangers relating to tickets sold for the match at East End Park last month.
Dunfermline chairman John Yorkston has confirmed he has been in contact with the SPL over the situation at the club and expects the matter to be resolved early next week.
He said: "The Rangers situation has had a knock-on effect. I can confirm full wages were not paid.
Arrangements
"We have made other arrangements to get monies in and it should be all squared up on Monday.
"Our immediate focus is to retain our position in the SPL and generate profitability from our trading results. We are hopeful that we can finish the 2011/12 season on a high note."
The Pars, First Division champions last year, are currently bottom of the SPL and favourites for relegation.
On Wednesday Dunfermline announced a loss of £431,621 for the year ended 31st May 2011.
