Lille are still on course to finish fourth after a 3-1 win over Nancy, while St Etienne are not yet safe.

Wins for Bordeaux, Lille, Sochaux, Lens and Lyon

Lille are still in pole position to finish fourth in Ligue 1 after a 3-1 win over Nancy, while St Etienne are not safe just yet as Boulogne pull off an unlikely draw. Lille stay in the driving seat to earn a place in next year's UEFA Champions League and they took the lead at home to Nancy through Yohan Cabaye, as Gervinho doubled the score two minutes later. Pierre-Alain Frau made it three after half-time, although Francis Malonga did pull one back for Nancy. Lille stay four points above champions Bordeaux after Les Girondins beat Toulouse 1-0. Michael Ciani scored the only goal of the game in the 17th minute to seal the win for Bordeaux. But Lyon go above them after they beat fellow European hopefuls Montpellier 1-0 at Stade de la Mosson. Michel Bastos got the only goal of the game and Lyon now go two points clear of their opponents. At the other end of the table St Etienne missed the chance to assure their safety and relegate Le Mans, as they went down 4-1 at home to Lens. Les Verts had taken the lead through Pape Malickou Diakhate just before the break but Les Sang et Or produced an excellent second-half display and romped home with goals from Kanga Gautier Akale, Issam Jemaa and Toifilou Maoulida (2). Rennes were defeated 2-1 at home by Sochaux, although there were two late goals at Stade Route de Lorient. Jimmy Briand put through his own net for Rennes to give Sochaux the lead, and they went two goals up in the 81st minute as substitute Benjamin Gavanon found the net. Rennes pulled one back as Sylvain Marveaux scored a penalty two minutes later, but it was not enough. Boulogne pulled off a remarkable comeback to draw 3-3 with Nice, the point meaning they avoid relegation for the time being. Nice had gone three up with a brace from Loic Remy and an effort from David Hellebuyck. But a 10-minute salvo from Boulogne saw them pull level thanks to goals from Jeremy Blayac, Olivier Kapo and Alexandre Cuvillier. Meanwhile, the final game in Ligue 1 saw Valenciennes hold Lorient 0-0.
