Former Monaco coach returns to Ligue 1
Bordeaux have confirmed former Fulham boss Jean Tigana as their new coach to replace Laurent Blanc.
The 54-year-old was appointed following the departure of Blanc, who is set to take charge of the French national side following the World Cup.
Tigana arrives at the Ligue 1 side having already experienced success in the division with both Lyon and Monaco - the latter he guided to the league title in 1997.
Bordeaux will be hoping the former France international can have the same impact on their title hopes after last season's attempts eventually saw them settle for sixth in the table.
One important job that awaits the new coach is finding a replacement for top scorer Marouane Chamakh, who joined Arsenal last week.
