Alexandre Lacazette and Nabil Fekir claimed a brace apiece as Lyon moved top of the Ligue 1 table following a 5-1 win at Montpellier.

Lucas Barrios handed the hosts the lead early on but Lacazette's 30th-minute penalty and Fekir's addition before the break put Hubert Fournier's men ahead.

Fekir extended Lyon's lead after 72 minutes, before Corentin Tolisso and Lacazette scored at the death to put the result beyond doubt and leave Montpellier seventh.

St Etienne kept their hopes of securing European football for next season alive with a 2-0 win over 10-man Lorient on Sunday.

Yohan Mollo opened the scoring for ASSE in the 74th minute before Max Gradel added the gloss with the second in the 90th minute after Didier Ndong had been sent off midway through the second half.

The result put St Etienne one point behind fourth-placed Monaco, who still have a game in hand, while Lorient remained two points above the bottom three.

Lille made it back-to-back Ligue 1 wins for only the second time this season as Nolan Roux clinched a 1-0 triumph at Guingamp.

Roux looped home over Guingamp goalkeeper Jonas Lossl six minutes after the interval and Lille held firm to maintain momentum after their 2-1 victory over Lyon last week.

The win moves Les Dogues up to eighth in the table, while Guingamp remain 12th, just six points above the drop zone.
