Valencia crushed Roda JC 4-0 as CFR Cruj beat Zalgiris Vilnius in the InterToto Cup.

Valencia crushed Roda JC Kerkrade 4-0 in the first leg of their InterToto Cup semi-final.

The Spanish side were in rampant mood at the Mestalla, with Rufete ramming home a hat-trick.

Rufete scored twice in the first half against the Dutch side and added his third goal on 50 minutes.

The scoreline was completed on 83 minutes by Emiliano Moretti and Valencia are now in a strong position to reach the final.

CFR Cluj continued their InterToto Cup fairytale with a 2-1 triumph over Zalgiris Vilnius.

The Romanian minnows have already disposed of Athletic Bilbao and St Etienne and are now aiming to dump Zalgiris out of the competition.

The visitors gained the upper hand on 37 minutes when Christian Dan put Cluj ahead in Lithuania.

Zalgiris drew level on 75 minutes when Alexander Osipovicius scored, but two minutes later, Cluj nabbed the winner when Adrian Anca netted after Cristian Corolan's penalty was parried.

Marseille will be favourites to progress from their tie against Lazio following a 1-1 draw in Rome.
