Pitau to seal Nice deal
Pitau has emerged as one of the league's top players this season, and this had inevitably brought speculation that he would be targeted by a top club.
However, Pitau looks set to sign a new deal at the club on Thursday that will see his contract extended until 2006.
The 25-year-old rejoined Nice in 2001 from Creteil.
Meanwhile, the club are looking to bring in several players and coach Gernot Rohr is confident that talks are going well to permanently sign loan stars Jacques Abarnado, Damien Gregorini, Christophe Meslin and Yoann Bigne.
"We will find some money to keep the Rennes and Marseille players, said Rohr (pictured).
"I think, with around £2 million, we should be able to keep all four players."
