Marseille eye Felipe swoop

The agent of Flamengo midfielder Felipe, Frank Henouda, has declared that French outfit Marseille are closing in on his client.

The talented midfield man has indicated a desire to move to Europe and it now appears Marseille is the most likely destination.

''Olympique (Marseille) is very interested in Felipe and they have come to Brazil to see him play against Vitoria,'' confirmed Henouda.

''They want the player for the beginning of the season, they don't care when the player ends his contract with Flamengo.

''Any football player that is having a good performance in his team has the possibility of being transferred to Europe and it's natural the player wants that.''

Meanwhile, it appears Marseille could add another South American to their ranks with the capture of Luiz Mario.

The Coritiba striker is reportedly considering offers from Vitoria da Guimaraes, Academica de Coimbra and Marseille, with a decision expected in the next few weeks.

''My agent has had a conversation with the officials of Coritiba and I can say that in ten days or less I will know which team I will be transferred to,'' confirmed Mario.
