Three weeks out for Argentinian defender

Marseille will be without experienced Argentina international defender Gabriel Heinze for around three weeks with a leg injury. The former Real Madrid and Manchester United man was on the wrong end of a Lukas Podolski tackle in his country's midweek win over Germany. Scans have now confirmed Heinze damaged his right fibula in the tackle and will now require a maximum of three weeks on the sidelines recovering.

Crack

"Victim of a tackle by Lukas Podolski on Wednesday against Germany, Gaby Heinze had an X-ray this Thursday on his return to Marseille," read a statement on the club's official website. "The verdict established a crack at the head of his right fibula. "The OM medical staff indicate that his unavailability is set to be a maximum of three weeks."
