Marseille president Jean-Claude Dassier insists the club have received no bids for Mamadou Niang.
Reports on Sunday suggested that the Senegalese striker was on his way to Fenerbahce on a three-year contract.
However, Dassier insists that is not the case, despite admitting that Niang's agents have been in Turkey recently for discussions.
He claims no official offer has been received and, with the experienced frontman still contracted to Marseille until 2014, is confident no deal will be done.
"Mamadou is at the club and he will be staying here," Dassier told
AFP.
"I've spoken to Didier (Deschamps) on Saturday evening and the message can't be any clearer: it is out of the question to sell (Niang) only a week before the league start up again.
"We are not in the selling market, especially as we haven't received any offers."

While Marseille are understandably keen to retain the services of their most potent attacking weapon, Niang has hinted that he could be tempted to leave before the transfer window slams shut.
He has said before that the lure of a fresh challenge in a different country could be too good to turn down and has once again admitted that there is no guarantee he will start the new season with the reigning Ligue 1 champions.
"I am in a great club here at OM," Niang told
L'Equipe.
"I have a good lifestyle. If I have to stay here, it's really not a problem at all.
"I would only leave Marseille for something exciting.
"But I have to take into account the financial aspect. I'm not 20 anymore.
"In my head I am Marseillais but anything can happen."
