Steve Mandanda admits Marseille are disappointed to have seen their UEFA Champions League dream die.
The reigning French champions crashed out of Europe's premier club competition on Tuesday at the hands of Manchester United.
Following a goalless first leg in their last-16 encounter, the Red Devils progressed courtesy of a 2-1 victory at Old Trafford.
Two goals from Javier Hernandez left Marseille with a mountain to climb, with a Wes Brown own-goal arriving too late to offer them a helping hand into the quarter-finals.
They did, however, create numerous opportunities against United and club captain Mandanda claims there is a sense of frustration within the Marseille camp that they could not prolong their continental adventure.
"There are a lot of regrets and plenty of disappointment," said the 25-year-old goalkeeper.
Fatal
"Maybe we could have made it through, but we could not take the opportunities we had.
"We had a few good chances to score and qualify.
"On the night I had virtually nothing to do, but I conceded two goals. At this level that is fatal.
"There is frustration and we are disappointed not to have gone forward.
"It is good that we have to play PSG on Sunday because that will help us to focus again immediately."
