Marseille defender has no plans to look for move

Cameroon international Nicolas N'Koulou is happy at Marseille and has no plans to move on in January, according to his agent. The 21-year-old defender has seen his profile enhanced considerably since securing a switch to Stade Velodrome over the summer. Various clubs in England were reported to be keeping a close eye on him at that stage, with Monaco forced into a sale following their relegation out of Ligue 1. Transfer rumours suggest Premier League interest is mounting once again, with N'Koulou having shone for Marseille so far this term. The youngster is regarded as one of the hottest prospects in French football, with his potential clear for all to see.

Success

Marseille are hoping they will benefit from his considerable talent in the future, with a four-year contract having been signed upon his arrival. N'Koulou's representative claims his client has no intention of breaking that agreement any time soon, with talk of an impending move elsewhere wide of the mark. "Nicolas is fine at Marseille at the moment," Maxime Nana told L'Equipe. "He is keen to experience a lot of success at Marseille. "As long as he has the trust of the coach (Didier Deschamps) and the club, there is no reason to look elsewhere."
