Lille striker Gervinho claims to be unaware of what his future will hold, but admits he could move to England. The Ivory Coast international has spent the last four years in France, first with Le Mans and then with Lille. He has shone for his current employers this season, with his goals helping to lift Lille to the top of the Ligue 1 standings. His exploits have drawn admiring glances from afar, with clubs in England and Italy reported to be chasing his signature. Gervinho admits he would welcome the opportunity to compete alongside a number of his fellow countrymen in the Premier League, but insists he has no idea where his long-term future will lie. The 23-year-old forward told France Football: "I like that league. I have many friends who play there: [Cheik] Tiote, [Salomon] Kalou, [Abdoulaye] Meite, [Didier] Drogba.

"But you never know what will happen. We could make the decision to go and then end up staying, or the other way around. "You can never say where you will go because everything could change. "At the end of the season we can sit down and talk. "If we [Lille] decide to carry on this adventure together, that will be fine with me. "If not, we turn the page and I would hope to leave the club with happy memories and having won one or two trophies."
