Ligue 1 outfit swoop to land Jung
Auxerre have reached an agreement to sign South Korea international Jung Jo-gook in January.
According to reports in the Far East, the 26 year-old will put pen to paper on a three-year deal worth £1million when the transfer windows re-opens this winter.
Once rated as one of Asia's most promising youngsters, the striker is enjoying his most successful season to date.
The FC Seoul star has scored 13 times in the K-League this term and is listed in South Korea's preliminary squad for the 2011 Asian Cup in Qatar.
That form has not gone unnoticed and Jung's agent has revealed that his client is set to head for France in the New Year.
"Jung, whose contract with Seoul will end as of this season, has agreed to play for the French team Auxerre," his agent said in the
Korea Times.
"While he has pursued playing in a bigger league for a long time, his attempts have not been successful. However, his 13 goals this season in the K-League drew attention from Auxerre."
