PSG will not be adding AC Milan legend to their coaching team
Carlo Ancelotti has rubbished reports suggesting Paolo Maldini could be about to join the coaching team at Paris St Germain.
The ambitious French outfit are in the process of piecing together world-class units both on and off the field, with the club harbouring ambitions of becoming a global powerhouse.
Those plans were said to include the appointment of former Italy international Maldini.
Ancelotti played alongside and coached the legendary full-back during his time with AC Milan and the pair are known to be close friends.
Maldini's presence at a recent PSG match only served to fuel speculation that he could soon be linking up with the French giants.
Future
Ancelotti, though, has sought to bring an end to the rumours by insisting that he has no intention of adding to his backroom staff.
"I don't know what the future holds for Maldini," he told
L'Equipe.
"Would he come to Paris? Yes, he will come to have holidays and to go to restaurants.
"I don't think he will come and work at PSG. I have no intention of asking him to come.
"He is a friend and he will remain a friend."
