Ligue 1 round-up

Toulouse prevented Lyon clinching a record sixth title with a 2-0 win over Auxerre.

Toulouse beat Auxerre 2-0 to rise to second in Ligue 1 and prevent Lyon clinching a record sixth title when they play Sedan on Sunday.

Lyon will go 17 points clear with seven games left if they win at home to lowly Sedan.

Auxerre fell behind to in-form Toulouse in the seventh minute when Cameroon striker Achille Emana fired a low cross-shot inside the post.

Ten minutes later Johan Elmander had a header disallowed for a foul on Auxerre goalkeeper Olivier Sorin.

But the Swedish midfielder created the second goal on the half-hour, dancing through the defence to set up Fode Mansare.

Racing Lens were also in position to slow down Lyon's march to the title but failed to win.

On an evening with only four goals in the whole of Ligue 1, Lens were held 0-0 at bottom club Nantes to drop down to third place on 50 points with six games to go.

Paris St Germain eased relegation worries with a 0-0 draw at Girondins Bordeaux while Lille ended a run of three league defeats with a 2-0 win over Sochaux.

Nicolas Fauvergue and Kevin Mirallas were on target as Lille climbed to sixth on 46 points. Sochaux stay fourth on 47.

Olympique Marseille are fifth after drawing 0-0 at Valenciennes.
