DIOMEDE IN SEDAN LINK

The 27-year-old former French international has failed to make an impact on Merseyside, managing just two games for The Reds last season, and the recent signing of John Arne Riise could edge the dreadlocked midfielder out of the Anfield door.

Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier has reportedly offered Diomede to Sedan, who qualified for the Uefa cup by finishing fifth in Le Championnat, and the French club may view the player as a replacement for star Olivier Quint who is Nantes-bound.

The Frenchman, who was part of his country's victorious World Cup 1998 squad, has been linked with Premiership newcomers Fulham, a team he rejected to join Liverpool in a £3 million deal, and struggling ex-club Auxerre, but the lure of Europe could tempt the Anfield player to the Louis-Duguaguez.
