SEDAN STAR BACK IN ACTION
The 27-year-old ruptured his knee ligament after a horror tackle with Nicolas Gillet during the league game against Nantes in March and has been stuck on the sidelines ever since.
After months of treatment and rehabilitation Mionnet has returned to training and could travel with the side to Monaco to take on didier Deschamps side.
"I am feeling very well," said Mionnet. "I have returned to training with the squad and I am completely better.
"It is so good to walk onto the pitch again and my team-mates have helped me a lot, they all applauded me when I returned to the training field."
Despite the length of his time out, Mionnet said that he always remained positive and used his free time to help out handicapped children.
"It was not too hard to wait, I used the enforced time out to do a lot of work with handicapped kids. I also had a lot of fun with my family, and I am a optimistic character.
"I was able to stand it because my wife prevented me from talking about football and I would like to thank the fans for all the support they gave me, I hope I can repay them when I start to play again."
Sedan boss Henri Stambouli could well do with Mionnet getting back to his best as the team have struggled so far this season and are near the foot of the table with just one win to their name.
