Fretard in Dons link

WIMBLEDON have explored the possibility of adding a Frenchman to their ranks in time for their controversial move to Milton Keynes.

The Dons, who could play next season in the National Hockey Stadium in a bid to switch closer to their new home, have shown an interest in Sedan midfielder Jerome Fretard.

The 26-year-old suffered from an injury lay-off last term, and managed only one appearance in Le Championnat - although he picked up a yellow card during his 23 minutes of action!

After formerly plying his trade with Chareauroux, Charleville and Amiens, Fretard has plenty of experience and is believed to be keen on pursuing the possibility of heading across The Channel during the close season.
