Espanyol 0-5 Real Sociedad: La Real up to 11th with win

Real Sociedad moved six points clear of La Liga's relegation zone after thrashing strugglers Espanyol 5-0 away from home.
The visitors raced into a two-goal lead on Monday night through fine finishes from Jonathas in the fifth minute and Carlos Vela in the eighth.
Another quick-fire double then put them out of sight early in the second half, as Mikel Oyarzabal and Diego Reyes netted in the 52nd and 55th minutes respectively, before Jonathas struck again in the 90th.
Having built on the 2-1 win over Real Betis in their previous match, Eusebio Sacristan's side move up from 14th to 11th in the table.

Their opponents - thumped 6-0 at Real Madrid last time out - remain 17th, a point clear of the drop zone, after an utterly abject display.
The result also moves Gary Neville's Valencia down another place to 14th, four clear of the drop zone.
