Atletico president insists star striker is staying put

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo is confident striker Sergio Aguero will not leave the club this summer. The highly-rated Argentinian has once again become the focus of speculation linking him with a move away from the Europa League winners. Over the last year the 21-year-old, who has a 60million euro buy-out clause in his contract, has been linked with a number of Europe's top clubs. Cerezo, however, remains confident they can keep hold of the former Independiente star ahead of the next Primera Liga campaign. "He has a contract with us, we want him to stay and he is happy here," Cerezo told the club's official website. "Only if someone comes in to pay his buy-out clause would we then have to see what he decides...I would be surprised if he wasn't here next season. "It's not in our plans to sell any player who is important to us."
