Radamel Falcao has stressed he has a contract with Atletico Madrid but admits he does not know what will happen in the future.
Pressure
Falcao is certainly doing well personally despite the pressure of replacing Sergio Aguero at the Vicente Calderon last season.
A tally of 36 goals represented a superb return and calmed some of the doubters who had questioned the club-record fee that Atletico paid Porto for the forward in August 2011.
Falcao said: "I feel proud. I'm aware that there were people who doubted me. They were not convinced by the fee that was paid as I had come from Portuguese football.
"The murmurs were normal. The team was not good and it made sense.
"There will always be murmurs in football but the important thing is that we turn around people's opinions of both the team and myself."
Asked if he can top last season's tally, he added: "I do not think in numbers although I always use it as a reference point and my goal is to surpass the 36 goals from last season. I do not want to put a cap on it."
