Saviola still dreams of title glory

Javier Saviola believes Barcelona can continue their excellent domestic form and make a late push for the Spanish title.

The Argentinian striker has been at the forefront of a revival in form at Camp Nou in recent times that has seen them shoot up the league table.

Despite their nine point gap to league leaders Real Madrid, Saviola believes Barca are capable of making up the deficit in the final weeks of the season.

"We are going through a good spell at the moment because there are some players here that are playing like they have done before," he stated.

"We all have in our mind one goal. We are making a big effort to climb higher in the table and all the players think of reaching as high as possible before the end of the season."

The diminutive front-man has become a regular member of the starting XI in recent months after a rocky start to the season for both the club and the player.

"I think the club is different now than it was some months ago," claimed Saviola.

"Now it is much more calm here, the team is winning and all the squad trust the quality we have."

He added: "When you win everything is different."
