Sevilla have emerged as potential candidates to take Jeffren Suarez off Barcelona's hands.

Interest mounting in Barca winger

Sevilla have emerged as potential candidates to take Jeffren Suarez off Barcelona's hands. The Spain U21 international has been deemed surplus to requirements at Camp Nou and is expected to be on the move this summer. Liverpool and Valencia are reported to hold an interest in the 23-year-old, who made his debut for Barca in October 2006. It has also been suggested that Jeffren may be used as a makeweight in any possible Barca move for Udinese playmaker Alexis Sanchez.

Availability

Sevilla could be about to leap to the front of the queue, however, with Jeffren's father and agent Efren Suarez hinting that initial contact has already been made. He told Sport: "It is possible there is an interest from a major club such as Sevilla and it is possible they have already been in touch with Barcelona about his availability." Venezuelan-born Jeffren is keen to find regular first-team football after being restricted to just 35 appearances in his five years as a member of Barca's senior squad. A number of positive performances at this summer's European U21 Championship have helped to raise his profile and make him more appealing to potential suitors.
