Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas has heaped praise on team-mate Lionel Messi, saying the Argentine forward is a 'pleasure' to work with.
The Ballon d'Or holder scored his 49th and 50th goals of the season as Barcelona beat Racing Santander 2-0 on Saturday, meaning Messi has now scored seven in his last two games, after putting five past Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League.
And with 150 goals in his last three seasons, Fabregas believes his team-mate is truly unique.
"He's different to every other player in the world, and it's a pleasure to be able to play with him, to have him in the team, becasuse he gives you this extra confidence that every champions team needs," he said.
"He's a humble player, hard working, he loves football. He deserves everything that's happening to him."
Barcelona still trail league leaders Real Madrid by 10 points, but Fabregas insists his side won't give up and has welcomed the two-day rest given to the squad by coach Pep Guardiola.
"We will fight until the end, despite it being difficult...We've practically not stopped since Christmas, I think this will be good to recharge the batteries," he admitted.
