Real Madrid duo Marcelo and Luka Modric are facing spells on the sidelines after suffering injuries in the win over Malaga.
Full-back Marcelo was taken off in the 25th minute of the 2-1 victory at the Bernabeu with a hamstring injury, while midfielder Modric was replaced in the 78th minute with a thigh problem.
Both players were assessed on Monday morning and Real released short statements to confirm their injuries.
The statement re"Following tests carried out today on Marcelo at the Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital, he has been diagnosed with a grade two muscle injury in his left hamstring.
"[Modric] has been diagnosed with a strain in his right abductor muscle. His recovery will continue to be assessed."
Marcelo is likely to miss the first leg of the Champions League last-16 tie at home against Napoli in February and could be absent for the return fixture on March 7, while reports in Spain suggest Modric will be out for less than a month.
Real visit Celta Vigo on Wednesday in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals, trailing 2-1 from the first leg.
