Zinedine Zidane: Real Madrid should have scored more against 10-man Bayern Munich

Zinedine Zidane believes Real Madrid should have been more clinical against 10-man Bayern Munich, despite coming from behind to take control of their Champions League quarter-final.
Cristiano Ronaldo's second-half double, either side of Javi Martinez's dismissal, sealed a 2-1 victory at the Allianz Arena as the reigning European champions took another step towards retaining the trophy.
Bayern had to play the final 30 minutes a man down after Martinez picked up two yellows in quick succession for fouls on Ronaldo, but the Bundesliga champions rode their luck to remain in the tie, much to Zidane's annoyance.
"We would have preferred to have scored another goal," Zidane said. "We had the opportunity.
"A tie is never decided in the first leg but we won the first match, the second is still to come. We're content with the result, but we'd have liked to have scored more.
"It is not easy to play here, Bayern have great players and are a great team, but we still needed to play well in the second half and we also have to acknowledge how many saves (Manuel) Neuer had to make.
"I can't say that a third goal would have decided the tie already, and we will see about that next week."
Zidane opted to take Gareth Bale off just before the hour, and revealed it was a precautionary measure aimed at keeping the Wales forward fully fit ahead of next Tuesday's return at the Bernabeu after his recent injury worries.
"Bale felt a tweak at half-time and I didn't want to take any risks," the Real Madrid boss added.
"He doesn't feel so good, we hope it's nothing major."
