Reports suggest noose is tightening on Bernabeu boss
Under-fire Real Madrid manager Manuel Pellegrini is not panicking over his future at the Bernabeu despite increased speculation that he is facing the sack.
The former Villarreal boss has found himself under intense pressure in the wake of last Saturday's El Clasico defeat to Barcelona, which has left Real trailing their fierce rivals by three points in the Primera Liga title race with seven games remaining.
Pellegrini was reportedly a controversial appointment last summer, with rumours circulating that he did not have the complete backing of the Bernabeu hierarchy as they planned a new era of Galacticos.
Elimination from the first knockout round of the UEFA Champions League did not help the 56-year-old's cause and the defeat to Barcelona has only served to add weight to the argument of his critics.

But Pellegrini has shrugged off the conjecture, telling a press conference: "Right now the least of my concerns is my future. I am not worried about what will happen.
"We will sit down at the appropriate time to discuss options. Right now is not the time. All we must do now is focus on the next seven matches."
Liverpool's Rafa Benitez and Inter Milan's Jose Mourinho have been installed as early favourites to become the next man to fill the Real hot seat.
But Pellegrini remains focused on football, adding: "We said before El Clasico that whoever won the match still cannot afford to think they are the champions and that whoever lost cannot believe the league is over.
"The season ends on 16th May, so we will try to cut into the lead until the very last match.
"This team is able to pick itself up as it has done in the past. Over the last three days I have seen the players get over the loss and focus on what needs to be done."
