Karim Benzema is prepared to fight for his place at Real Madrid, claiming added competition for places is something that should be embraced.
The French forward has not always been considered a first-team regular at Santiago Bernabeu, despite being able to boast an impressive strike rate.
With Real seemingly unwilling to put their faith in him, they have once again being linked with an array of attacking talent this summer.
Brazilian starlet Neymar and Atletico Madrid forward Sergio Aguero are reported to be in Jose Mourinho's sights, suggesting Benzema is set to slip even further down the pecking order.
The 23-year-old has complete faith in his ability, though, and insists he will not be seeking a move away from the Spanish capital.

Benzema told
AS: "I am not afraid. If I were afraid of other strikers coming I would quit football.
"No striker scares me. Competition spurs me on and motivates me much more.
"It's part and parcel of the game. I have never seen my future away from Madrid. Never."
Benzema fully expects to be part of the Real fold when they return for pre-season training and he is looking forward to working alongside fellow Frenchman Raphael Varane - with the 18-year-old centre-half having been snapped up from Lens.
"I think Varane is right to move because the Real Madrid train only comes along once in a lifetime," added Benzema.
